Eilidh started dyeing yarn in 2015 from her kitchen in Colliston. A love of knitting and an unreasonably large stash led naturally to dyeing yarn and Colliston Yarns was created.

Returning to the fibre arts world in 2025, after a long break where lots of hard things happened, Eilidh’s creative focus is on colourways inspired by a strong sense of place and nature - most notably the coastline around Arbroath and South Aberdeenshire.

Her work also explores themes surrounding occupational trauma, feminism, mental wellness and craft as a tool for social engagement (sometimes as a tool for protest too!)

By crafting together colour, texture and storytelling the Colliston Yarns studio is the place where technicolour dreams are realised.
