As you walk the coastal path between Westhaven and Auchmithie, look out to sea. Spot the bell Rock, birds, seals and dolphins and watch the Arbroath creel fleet make their way to and from the harbour. Look further into the distance towards the Inch Cape and Sea Green wind farm turbines and imagine where the tankers and bulk carriers might be heading. Pleasure craft and yachts are docked in the marina and the boatyard is perpetually in motion. With Kayaking and coasteering tours, our north sea is a busy place!
75% Superwash Merino 27 micron
25% Nylon
225m/246yards/100g
A bouncy, durable but still soft all round sock yarn. This one has a bit more of a traditional lambswool handle but is still suitable for next to skin wear. A perennial favourite, it takes colour well and gives crisp stitch and speckle definition.
All our yarns are responsibly sourced from farms where Mulesing is not practiced. Superwash yarns are produced to ISO14001 accreditation or equivalent practices.
In the studio, we use minimal resources, recycle soak and dye water where we can and try to source sustainable and recyclable packaging for your yarn wherever practical to do so.
All my yarns are dyed to exhaust in the dyebath and thoroughly rinsed. Some shades, particularly hot pinks and blues, can release a little bit of colour when wet. Always swatch for colourfastness before committing to knit two different yarns together to avoid surprises.
