All along the esplanade at Broughty Ferry, the Marram grass protects the dunes and shoreline from the sea. Much work has taken place here recently to diversify the flora and fauna found here.

A bouncy, durable but still soft all round sock yarn. This one has a bit more of a traditional lambswool handle but is still suitable for next to skin wear. A perennial favourite, it takes colour well and gives crisp stitch and speckle definition.

All my yarns are dyed to exhaust in the dyebath and thoroughly rinsed. Some shades, particularly hot pinks and blues, can release a little bit of colour when wet. Always swatch for colourfastness before committing to knit two different yarns together to avoid surprises.
